Company
Strata started with a frustration every data team knows: the people with questions and the people who can answer them are never the same people — and the gap between them is measured in days. We're closing it.
For a decade between us, we built analytics at companies where the dashboard was never the bottleneck — the conversation around it was. A VP would ask a question on Monday, a ticket would land in the data team's queue, and an answer would arrive Thursday, by which point the question had changed.
The tools kept getting more powerful and the gap kept getting wider. More dashboards meant more places to look and more numbers that didn't agree. Meanwhile, the one thing everyone could do — ask a question in plain language — was the one thing the stack couldn't accept.
Strata is our answer. Not another dashboard, but a layer that sits on the warehouse and lets anyone ask, while giving the data team the controls to make sure every answer is one they'd sign their name to. The rigor of an analyst, at the speed of a search bar.
We started in 2024, we're a remote-first team across nine time zones, and we're backed by people who've built the data tools you already use.

What we believe
A fast answer you can't defend is worse than no answer. Everything we ship has to be traceable, or it doesn't ship.
If a teammate has to learn a query language to ask a question, we've failed. The interface is a sentence.
We don't move your data or fork the truth into a copy. We meet your data where it already lives.
No black boxes, internally or externally. We explain our decisions to each other the same way our product explains its answers.
"The teams that win the next decade won't be the ones with the most data. They'll be the ones who can ask it the most questions."
Careers
We're hiring across engineering, research, and go-to-market. Remote-first, async by default, deeply curious by requirement.
